Mommy and Daddy took me to Shenanigans, they're favorite restaurant.

Yes, that wall behind me seems to be made of burlap sack material. And if I look a bit alarmed, it's only because I seem to be the only one concerned that the building is leaning considerably and looks like it might fall over at any moment.

I loved my first visit to Sewanee, but sometimes I had to entertain myself.

Daddy and his friends went to see U2 in Atlanta so my mama and godmother Elizabeth and baby Katherine went to eat Mexican. As you can probably tell, refried beans are my fave. I even had them in my EARS! Me encanta frijoles!

I celebrated Fall with my overall hand-me-downs (thanks to Emma and Margaret!)

Here I am taking a break from the outside heat, and from crawling, which I started to do this week. Daddy will post some pictures of that later.

It's been a while. . . .

I sure have had a fun summer! I couldn't believe how nice the weather was during July! Mommy and Daddy took me to swing at the St. Peter's playground almost every day, we cooked outside, and Scout was her usual silly self. Last weekend we took a quick trip over to Corinth and Pickwick to see Mommy's family who had come all the way from Florida and Virginia!

In the first two pictures, I am lounging on my Great Aunt Rosemary's quilt. That quilt was pieced together by my great, great, great-grandmother, Nelle Elizabeth Nelms McIntyre. She lived to be 93. Isn't that something?

On Saturday, Great Uncle Jimmy took us out for a ride on the boat. I look pretty snazzy in my life jacket, don't you think? My favorite picture is of my daddy and me. We had a great day.

Last but not least are a couple pictures of my older sister, Scout. Big dog in a little bed!

I have to say, solid food is pretty much the greatest thing ever. My friends Mac and Gus in Sewanee gave me the new bib. I think it could fit Mommy!

It's been a busy week....

First, I sat in my new Bumbo chair. Then I sat in it some more. Then I smiled. Whew.

Some other folks have come to see me as well, but someone keeps forgetting to take pictures. Dr. Ownby came by and dropped off a yummy carrot cake and some good music, and Marjon came by to visit and drop off her weekly dinner. Mommy and Daddy really like her cooking.

I just can't bear to watch the two teams that I despise the most playing each other (sorry Papa, but Mommy and Daddy seem to be brainwashing me).

I'd like to show yall some time-lapsed photos that show some of my moves.

This is a little wiggle that I do to alert my parents that they should consider attending to my diaper. If they don't notice this maneuver, then I move to plan B, which is to start singing.

What a day! I'm absolutely exhausted!

First, I went with my parents to vote. Then I went to campus to meet all my Mom's friends and co-workers at the Center. Then I had my first doctor's visit. Then Mommy and Daddy took me to Proud Larry's for my first restaurant experience. Then we went on a walk.

Now Mommy and Daddy are watching the election returns. So, so boring.

Bess seemed a little reluctant to hold me at first, but how could she resist?

I don't think Aunt Rosemary likes it when I exercise my lungs. That rose directly behind them was today's altar rose at my church, St. Peter's.
