Trick or Treat!

Chocolate melts on your face, not on your hands ...

Every little bee needs two great beekeepers.

This is Mommy and Daddy's friend, Minnie Pearl (aka Marjon, who came all the way from Kansas to see me).

I loved hangin' out in the St. Peter's pumpkin patch!

Yea, Sewanee's Right!

Ah, the Sewanee fog. Apparently there was a football game being played somewhere in there.

Sewanee, Class of 2030ish.

I got to meet lots of my parents' classmates. Here I am with Andrew, my Daddy's fraternity brother. Thanks to Dennis for the pictures.

Godfather Dennis was participating in some sort of pageant this evening.

Mommy and Daddy took me to Shenanigans, their favorite restaurant.

Yes, that wall behind me seems to be made of burlap sack material. And if I look a bit alarmed, it's only because I seem to be the only one concerned that the building is leaning considerably and looks like it might fall over at any moment.

Hanging out with Mommy and Daddy's friends on the Mountain ...

I loved my first visit to Sewanee, but sometimes I had to entertain myself.

I always manage to find a swing somewhere.

Daddy tried to feed me ground duck, but I demanded the usual beans and applesauce.

Thanks to McNeill and Quentin for the pictures. More to come, including video.

When Daddy's Away....

Eat beans!

Daddy and his friends went to see U2 in Atlanta so my mama and godmother Elizabeth and baby Katherine went to eat Mexican. As you can probably tell, refried beans are my fave. I even had them in my EARS! Me encanta frijoles!

It's been a while. . . .

I sure have had a fun summer! I couldn't believe how nice the weather was during July! Mommy and Daddy took me to swing at the St. Peter's playground almost every day, we cooked outside, and Scout was her usual silly self. Last weekend we took a quick trip over to Corinth and Pickwick to see Mommy's family who had come all the way from Florida and Virginia!

In the first two pictures, I am lounging on my Great Aunt Rosemary's quilt. That quilt was pieced together by my great, great, great-grandmother, Nelle Elizabeth Nelms McIntyre. She lived to be 93. Isn't that something?

On Saturday, Great Uncle Jimmy took us out for a ride on the boat. I look pretty snazzy in my life jacket, don't you think? My favorite picture is of my daddy and me. We had a great day.

Last but not least are a couple pictures of my older sister, Scout. Big dog in a little bed!

I had a great time during first trip to Pungo!

I spent a lot of time swinging on the front porch hammock.

Here we are at Belhaven's July 4th celebration

Sometimes it got a bit too loud for Margaret

I preferred the shady comforts of my stroller.
